Condolences to Norway and postponement of the Opening Ceremony

On behalf of the Norwegian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, we extend our sincere condolences to the Royal Family of Norway and to the people of Norway during this time of mourning.

Following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway on 28 August 2026, the Norwegian Embassy must follow protocol and can not host any events before the funeral takes place. We have been informed by the Norwegian Ambassador that we have to postpone the Opening Ceremony originally scheduled for 3 September 2026 at the Residence of the Norwegian Ambassador in Bern. The event will be rescheduled to a later date in September, which we will confirm shortly.
